Artist - Bio
Jimmy Kuehnle earned a BFA from Truman State University. After a stint teaching English in southern Japan, he completed his MFA at the University of Texas at San Antonio. His art bikes and sculptures have been featured in news programs in Missouri, Memphis, Wisconsin, Japan, Washington State, and Texas.
Kuehnle actively engaged the art scene of Texas. He recently completed his first public art project in San Antonio, a 125 foot digital mural called, Capturing San Antonio. Recent exhibits include an installation at the Project Row Houses in Houston, TX in October, a solo exhibition at Houston Community College's Central Gallery in January 2006, and a show at Gallery '76 at Wenachtee Valley College in April 2006, an exhibition and performance in August 2006 in Gallery 4 in the Blue Star Contemporary Art Space as well as a solo-show at C-Art Studio in July, as well as a outdoor sculpture exhibit at the Dallas Center for Contemporary Art.
Currenly Kuehnle is a Fulbright Grant recipient. He is studying Sculpture in Public Art in Nagoya, Japan.
