ArtPrize is a new open art competion to be held this fall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With a top prize of $250,000 it is sure to capture the public's attention. That is exactly what promoter, Rick DeVos, wants since it is the public that will decide the winners. Artists and official venues are matched through the ArtPrize website. I am excited about the competition and look forward to meeting all the artists that will be in Michigan. During the Competion I will be the Philip C. Curtis Artist in Residence at Albion College in Albion, Michigan.
